In 1942, the Japanese Army overtook the Philippines and forced 75,000 captured American and Filipino soldiers on a grueling 80-mile trek that became known as the Bataan Death March. Decades later, a marathon is held every year at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in memory of the event - Feeln.com
